MBA Architects is a full service architecture, planning, and design firm. With 53 years of experience MBA has had a developed reputation of excellence in Silicon Valley and throughout California. Founded by Marvin Bamburg, AIA, LEED AP, MBA Architects is committed to quality in design, and views architecture as an expression of the creativity and dignity of the human spirit. MBA projects range from libraries, community centers, senior centers, public facilities, civic projects and interior/exterior remodeling for residential and commercial projects.

MBA recognizes the architect’s unique responsibility for shaping the environment, and is dedicated to identifying ways to incorporate green and sustainable design through LEED and Build-It-Green certification. The design diversity at MBA Architects responds to our clients’ requirements and tastes, creating buildings that are functional, enjoyable, and of appropriate scale and character. Our primary goal is to provide innovative solutions within a framework of environmental harmony and economic reality.

MBA is experienced in creating a unique and creative design through an inclusive process with our clients, which leads to architecture that truly reflects that client’s vision. We listen carefully to our client’s needs, explore and analyze the site and its environments, and create a design that satisfies those needs. Our focus on meeting with the client’s goals along with our attention to detail directs the planning, design, and construction of the project to accomplish the scope, schedule, and budget.

We strive to be at the front of new technologies. With the use of BIM (Building Information Modeling) and CAD software, MBA is able to analyze the construction process and environmental sustainability throughout the design process. Our 7 person, highly diverse, in-house staff includes 3 licensed architects; LEED accredited professional, Build-It-Green rater, and an interior designer.

Conservation of the Environment

As a firm believer in environmental conservation, MBA Architects practices what it preaches by producing our own electricity with a parapet-mounted photovoltaic array. The panels achieve their greatest exposure to the sun in this position while shading the second floor office windows below. This retrofit is located at our offices in a 1950’s building in Willow Glen.

MBA Architects strives to keep abreast of the latest developments in construction materials and process, environmental training and exchange of information with associates certified in green building rating systems, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and Build-It-Green. The firm believes in promoting a healthy, clean, energy and resource efficient buildings.
