The Redevelpoment Agency of San Jose retained MBA Architects to prepare designs for enhancing the appearance of the low-profile strip center. Located on a side street from a major thoroughfare, the Center was unable to attract retail business and had become rundown. Its original design was inintresting and without color. MBA broke the long horizontial facia with three raised portals and added color to the supporting pylons. A fiberglass suncreen material was used under the portals due to the south orientation of the building. The basic storefront and ground plane still remain due to budgetary restrictions. Project was complete in 2005.
