Lincoln High School Library Media Center
San Jose, CA

SIZE: 7,150 s.f.
DATE: 1977
COST: $350,000

This project is a 7,150 sf library/media center at Lincoln High School constructed at the existing campus.

Stucco over wood framing construction provided an economical match to the existing concrete campus buildings. The unusual daylighting system minimized side windows and provided clerestory windows instead, which bring light and air to the interior. Minimizing windows additionally provided significant security advantages and allowed for considerable wall stacking space inside.
