Administration Building, SUN Microsystems
Agnews Campus, Santa Clara, CA

SIZE: 11,368 s.f.
DATE: 2000
COST: $875,000

SUN Microsystems purchased the Agnew Developmental Center from the State of California in 1998. Four of the original buildings were selected to be retained as an historic complex. The Administration Building had suffered many modifications through the years of State custodianship.

MBA served as architects for the shell and core (not the tenant improvements), restoring the exterior façade to its original appearance. As a part of the remodel, the original large arched windows of the front façade were replicated from the original drawings. A handicapped access ramp was constructed on the east side entrance and all the original doors were rehabilitated. Construction was completed in 2000; Administration shell & core cost $875,000.
