This 44,600 sf expansion of an existing shopping center involved the creation of two new buildings plus a large 2-story wing. The addition maintained the original architectural motif of the center and is highly visible from the freeway.
The expansion developed the Southeast end of the site and required environmental mitigation of the adjacent slough. Poor soil conditions added another concern and were managed by employing earthen retaining structures and lightweight construction. This project was designed for Watsonville Square Associates.
