Renovation of the 1,850 sf retail space in downtown Willow Glen required complete gutting of existing partitions and finishes. New partitions were constructed partially of glass to allow natural light to penetrate the narrow, deep storefront space.
New features include slate floors, halogen lighting, and acoustical wall cladding to mitigate excess sound in the open plan. Completely new electrical and HVAC systems were installed in this renovation. Additional renovation subsequent to move-in include a new storefront with double-pane Solarban glass, photovoltaic panels for electrical co-generation, toilet remodeling and a kitchenette. Initial work completed in 1989.
